What is Muay Thai?

Muay Thai, also known as “The Art of Eight Limbs” is an ancient form of self-defence where the athlete uses not only his feet, but also fists, elbows, knees and shins to combat his opponent in a physically and mentally challenging battle. As with Thai culture and tradition, Muay Thai embraces the values of respect and humbleness towards the mentor, something we stand firmly for at RMA. Effort = respect, and we expect respect here.

Lead by head coach Kaveh Arya you will become familiar with traditional martial arts discipline of Muay Thai, and modern day fight training in K1 kickboxing. At RMA, your trainer is a fighter, so he knows what you are going through every step of the way.

We watch and analyse your strengths and weaknesses and put together a program which will address your every conditioning requirement. Therefore, these sessions also include functional, dynamic resistance training alongside the essential combat techniques to get that edge. Importantly, we do this without hindering your reach, flexibility, speed or agility – in fact, our strength and conditioning methods are designed around biomechanical movements of a Fighter to take away any possibility of shortening muscles. Strength, speed, Power and explosive drive are attributes necessary for every serious fighter.
